I listen to music on the way to class.
Often, it helps support my mood, or on occasion, put me in a different mood.
Like, if I'm unhappy about not getting enough rest the night before, Chromeo or Nice & Smooth can put me in a good humor ("Hello! I hate jello!")
This brings me to my concept of some songs embodying certain seasons. I'm typically enamored with Summer, but Fall is here, and I've noticed that my sure-fire summer songs are not putting me at ease that the leaves are changing and the winds are picking up.
But when these songs came into rotation, I got a little happier.
This one shaped a lot of my childhood. My dad would say, 'Hey, Tina, your song's on.'
And I'd sing Kim Hill's part.
Good times, good times.
(Of course, this song had a different video...strange video it was...so we'll just take the still pic as a substitute.)
(And, of course, Cherry Blossoms bloom in spring, but the weather is similar! And thus, a similar feeling...)
This song is just....sublime. And I don't just throw that word around for everything!
I've come to find that it works well for fall too.
So...any suggestions for some great Fall songs that you can walk to? Lemme know...
Enjoy!

This sample was so cleverly hidden by one of da mastahssss, Jay Dee, when it clicked in my head I had to shout it out loud, hey, Q Tip's 'Move' ...
samples 'Dancing Machine' by the Jackson 5.
Enjoy.
RIP Michael Jackson
