I listen to music on the way to class.
Often, it helps support my mood, or on occasion, put me in a different mood.
Like, if I'm unhappy about not getting enough rest the night before, Chromeo or Nice & Smooth can put me in a good humor ("Hello! I hate jello!")
This brings me to my concept of some songs embodying certain seasons. I'm typically enamored with Summer, but Fall is here, and I've noticed that my sure-fire summer songs are not putting me at ease that the leaves are changing and the winds are picking up.
But when these songs came into rotation, I got a little happier.
This one shaped a lot of my childhood. My dad would say, 'Hey, Tina, your song's on.'
And I'd sing Kim Hill's part.
Good times, good times.
(Of course, this song had a different video...strange video it was...so we'll just take the still pic as a substitute.)
(And, of course, Cherry Blossoms bloom in spring, but the weather is similar! And thus, a similar feeling...)
This song is just....sublime. And I don't just throw that word around for everything!
I've come to find that it works well for fall too.
So...any suggestions for some great Fall songs that you can walk to? Lemme know...
Enjoy!

I know this may sound odd...
Well, if you're a follower of the blog it may not be...
And if you know me well enough, it won't sound odd at all...
But if you don't fit into either of these categories, this may sound odd.
But I knew pretty much every word to this song when it came out.
It had no relevance to me, but I related to it ...somehow, some way.
Maybe it was the lil' chiren in the video.
Trick Luh da kids.
Without further ado about nothing,

I love Novel's voice...so...great.
Maybe it can soothe me to sleep.

But I might have to.
I mean, I have school!
I have important classes I need to pass!
And...
I'm so torn.
Look at this...
"Tue Sept 29- BLK JKS, LAUGHING MAN $10 Backstage 9:00"
I'm so hurt.
You already know how I feel about the BLK JKS, and Laughing Man I just started listening to; as a matter of fact, I'm listening to their song Gestures for the third time straight as I type this, and it's really amazing music.
And...
I'm just so depressed.
Can somebody rescue me from indecision!
under this guy's belt.
I never understood that phrase.
Let's try another.
There are 11 albums under this guy's name.
A lil' better.
Go ahead, count 'em.
That being said, listen to this.
Too much to handle?
Simmer on that for a bit.
So go ahead, now that I've split your head open into enlightenment, and buy some albums for a change. There's a wide variety, so take your pick.
Enjoy...

Like, this and Bondiallica have to be some of the greatest songs ever.
But...oh well.
For now, she'll just think I'm a devil worshipper.
And I'm willing to accept that stereotype if it means I listen to amazing music like this.
whenever I happen to look at this guy.
And the echo pops into my head, 'Kiss boy! Kiss boy! Kiss boy!' and I try to push the melody out of my mind.
Does not work too well.
But um, I try.
I dunno if I've ever shared this song with ya'll but here we go!

I repeat, Fantasia Barrino, winner of American Idol, please return to the studio and get to work on your next album..
That is, unless you want Chrisette Michelle to steal all of your songs.
That is all.
My father has this theory of 'riding music.' Many songs can be great, but not all songs are great with which to drive. Some songs are too complicated to drive to, too many parts to sing, too many changes in beats and measure and pitch, too much work to be focusing on the road, no? Some songs have the right amount of simplicity and memorability to be great behind the wheel, therefore, my father makes compilations of good 'riding music' just for those long trips up and down the East Coast.
This, to me, might be one of those songs.

I don't know why more people don't have this song in their life, but I hope to change that.
